Laura Benanti Continues Her Run on Hit Broadway Show
The news that Laura Benanti is extending her run is truly amazing. The award-winning star will continue to play her role as Eliza Doolittle in the Broadway hit My Fair Lady. Her original run was scheduled to end on February 17, but she has extended it to July 7. This means fans can catch her at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. She first joined the Broadway musical back in October 2018.
Benanti has starred in lots of shows including Tony-nominated She Loves Me, Into the Woods, and Swing! She won her Tony for her role in Gypsy. She has also been on The Vibrator Play, Nine, Meteor Shower, and lots more.
Other casts in the show include; Tony Award winners; Rosemary Harris (playing the role of Mrs. Higgins), Laura Benanti (playing the role of Eliza Doolittle), as well as Tony Award nominees; Alexander Gemignani (playing the role of Alfred P. Doolittle), and Harry Hadden-Paton (playing the role of Mrs.Higgins) along with other amazing casts.
Tony Winners Christopher Gattelli and Bartlett Sher choreograph and direct the show respectively. Previews for My Fair Lady started back on March 15, while it was officially opened for viewing on April 19.
Ted Sperling, Christopher Gattelli, Michael Yeargan, Donald Holder, Catherine Zuber, and Marc Salzberg are all part of the creative team, and they are in charge of music direction, choreography, scenic design, lighting design, costume design, and sound design respectively.
